PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe connecting structure in which two pipes positioned at both sides of a wall member having an open hole are positively connected in a small space at the open hole while their misalignment between the open hole and each of the pipes is absorbed, and a connecting member used for the same.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a pipe connecting structure for use in connecting two pipes 2 and 3 positioned at both sides of a wall member 10 having an open hole 10a through a cylindrical connecting member 4 at the open hole 10a, and a connecting member used for the same. The connecting member 4 has: two holding parts 41 and 42 fitted to each of the two pipes 2 and 3; and a connecting part 43 connecting the two holding parts 41 and 42. One holding part 41 of the two holding parts 41 and 42 is outwardly fitted to one pipe 2 of the two pipes 2 and 3 in a close contacted state, and inwardly fitted into the open hole 10a in a close contacted state, the other holding part 42 is outwardly fitted to the other pipe 3 in a close contacted state and at the same time displacement thereof in a radial direction in respect to one holding part 41 can be performed through the connecting part 43 and a fastening ring 44 is outwardly fitted to the outer diameter part of the other holding part 42.
