Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which a rehabilitation pipe of an existing pipe with the rehabilitation pipe lined and a manhole side wall are connected by a water cut-off joint with an expansion part and the water cut-off joint is coated with a mortar and in which mortar coating does not damage the function of the expansion part.SOLUTION: A water cut-off joint 26 with flexibility comprises a flange part 26b abutted to a manhole side wall, a tubular part 26a to be inserted into the pipe end part of a rehabilitation pipe, and an expansion part 26c between the flange part 26b and the tubular part. The tubular part 26a of the water cut-off joint 26 is outwardly fitted to a protruding part 24a into a manhole in a rehabilitation pipe 24 lined in an existing pipe, and the flange part 26b of the water cut-off joint 26 is bonded to the manhole side wall. After this, in order to secure elasticity of the expansion part 26c in the water cut-off joint 26 even when the water cut-off joint 26 is coated with a mortar 31 an elastic back-up material 30 is attached to the outer periphery of the tubular part 26a outwardly fitted to the protruding part 24a of the rehabilitation pipe 24 so as to be adjacent to the expansion part 26c.
