Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition device with an auxiliary chamber capable of achieving stable ignition even when a fuel injection period is advanced.SOLUTION: An ignition device 100 with an auxiliary chamber is mounted on an internal combustion engine 9, includes a center electrode 1, an insulator 2, a housing 3 and a ground electrode 30, and an auxiliary chamber cover 5 that partitions an auxiliary chamber 52 at an inner side thereof and has an auxiliary chamber injection hole 51 communicating between the auxiliary chamber 52 and a combustion chamber 900, and ignites an air-fuel mixture at the inside of the auxiliary chamber 52. In the ignition device with an auxiliary chamber 100, the housing 3 includes a pressure reduction passage 66 for reducing the pressure inside the auxiliary chamber 52 to below the pressure Pinside the combustion chamber 900, as a pressure adjustment means 6 to adjust the pressure inside the auxiliary chamber 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
