PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damage prevention structure of a game machine push button configured to prevent damage of the game machine push button and the periphery thereof even when being depressed by strong force.SOLUTION: The damage prevention structure of a game machine push button 10 includes: the game machine push button 10; a housing 20 retaining the game machine push button 10 in a forward/backward movable state; biasing means 30 for returning the game machine push button 10 to an initial position; detection means 40 for detecting the game machine push button 10; a first buffer member 51 that, when the game machine push button 10 is depressed to a prescribed depth, comes into contact with the game machine push button 10 from a lower side to start compressive deformation by the depressing force of the game machine push button 10; and a second buffer member 60 that, after the first buffer member 51 has started the compressive deformation, starts the compressive deformation by the depressing force of the game machine push button 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
