Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device which does not cause damage to an end part of a sheet bundle when a fold part of the sheet bundle is re-folded, and suppresses occurrence of a wrinkle and being turned up at the fold part and the vicinity thereof due to accumulation of twisting.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes: a re-folding roller unit 260 including a folding plate and a pair of folding rollers for folding a sheet bundle, and a pressing mechanism 265 for pressing a fold part of the folded sheet bundle in a thickness direction of the sheet bundle to re-fold; and a unit movement mechanism 263 for reciprocating the re-folding roller unit 260 in a width direction of the sheet bundle. The re-folding roller unit 260, when moving forward, starts pressing from a predetermined position in the width direction of the sheet bundle and releases pressing after passing through one end part of the sheet bundle, and, when moving backward, starts pressing from the predetermined position to pass through the other end part of the sheet bundle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
