Title:
OUTBOARD ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016049827
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard engine capable of reducing exhaust noise by setting the temperature of exhaust gas flowing through an idle exhaust port lower than that in a conventional case.SOLUTION: A cooling water passage 67 for idle exhaustion, to which cooling water before an engine is cooled is supplied, is set at a position adjacent to an idle exhaust passage. A partition wall part is provided between the idle exhaust passage and the cooling water passage 67 for idle exhaustion to isolate them from each other, thereby preventing flowing of the cooling water into the idle exhaust passage. A plurality of fins 68, 69, 75, and 76 thermally connected to the partition wall part is provided in the idle exhaust passage, heat is exchanged between high-temperature exhaust gas flowing through the idle exhaust passage and cold cooing water flowing through the cooling water passage for idle exhaustion through the partition wall part and the plurality of fins, and thus gas flowing through the idle exhaust passage is efficiently cooled.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
