Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing device, which facilitates turning of a page, in a bookbinding method for accumulating sheets on which an image is formed, in a bundle-state, performing binding processing, then performing folding processing.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device for accumulating sheets fed from an image forming device (A) in a bundle-state, performing binding processing, then folding a sheet central part in two, comprises: a sheet transport path (25); sheet accumulation means (40) disposed on a downstream side of the transport path; binding processing means (39) for the sheet bundle; and folding processing means (43) for the sheet bundle which is subjected to the binding processing. A binding position (Sp) of the binding processing means is set to a sheet end side (Y end) (near a sheet end) in which, an order of turning of a page is latter, after folding in two processing, the position is displaced from the sheet central part by a predetermined amount (δ), and a folding position (Sf) of the folding processing means is set to a position where is displaced from the sheet central part to an opposite side of the binding position by a predetermined amount (γ) or the sheet central part of the sheet bundle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
