Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve a problem found in a metal joint of a type for connecting a pipe through bolt and nut fastening work that either a bolt or nut is dropped off and the work is interrupted.SOLUTION: An inner surface of a cylinder part 21 protruded out to a holding surface side of a connecting part 9 of a half-slit member 3 is formed with a female thread 23. If a bolt 25 is inserted into the cylinder part 21 of the semi-slit member 3[A] and engaged in thread with it, it may become integral with the semi-slit member 3[A], so that no dropping of it occurs. In addition, when it is fastened, this bolt 25 is engaged in thread with the female thread 23 of the cylinder part 21 of the other semi-slit member 3[B]. At that time, since it is not engaged in thread with the semi-split member 3[A], its fastening work can be well promoted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
