Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire abrasion evaluation method capable of properly evaluating a tire abrasion state after a vehicle actually travelled.SOLUTION: A tire abrasion evaluation method comprises: preparing a test tire; regulating an evaluation zone of the test tire, based on at least one of a pitch and a block; regulating a minimum zone of the test tire, in the evaluation zone based on a lug groove or a sipe; setting at least two measurement points in a peripheral direction in the minimum zone; setting a reference point in the measurement; measuring the distance between the first measurement point and the reference point; measuring the distance between the second measurement point and the reference point; calculating the step difference amount between the first measurement point and the second measurement point, based on a difference of the distance between the first measurement point and the reference point, and the distance between the second measurement point and the reference point; and, based on the calculated step difference amount, evaluating a peripheral direction polarized abrasion performance on the test tire.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
