PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing device, an operation control method for a drawing device, and an operation control program for a drawing device capable of drawing a nail design on a fingernail in an appropriate direction regardless of a shape of a finger.SOLUTION: A drawing device includes an image acquisition part 46 for acquiring an image of a nail 11 of a finger 12 placed on a finger placement part 45b, a streak detection part 62 for detecting an extension direction of a streak present on the surface of the nail 11 from the image of the nail 11 acquired by the image acquisition part 46, and a drawing part and a printing part for proving a nail design to the nail 11 in a state that the direction of the nail design is conformed to the extension direction of the streak detected by the streak detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
