Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out fold reinforcement at a high load while suppressing deformation around the fold of a recording material bundle more than a form not using any pressing member when the fold of the recording material bundle is reinforced.SOLUTION: A fold reinforcing device includes a pressurization member 4 provided to include the position of the fold 3 of a recording material bundle 2 formed by stacking and folding a plurality of recording materials 1 into a booklet shape and configured to pressurize the fold 3 while rotating in a direction along the fold 3 so as to further reinforce the fold 3, a plurality of pressing members 5 (5a and 5b) provided at positions near the fold 3 separated in an intersection direction along the fold 3 and separately in a direction along the fold 3 with respect to the center of the pressurization member 4 and configured to press the recording material bundle 2 while rotating in the direction along the fold 3, and a moving mechanism 6 for moving the pressurization member 4 and the pressing member 5 while maintaining a relative positional relationship between both in the direction along the fold 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
