Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-engine capable of attaching an electric connector to a direct injector in a limited space between banks.SOLUTION: A V-engine comprises: a V-cylinder block in which a plurality of cylinders is alternately disposed in right and left banks disposed into a V-shape; cylinder heads 2A, 2B attached to the respective banks 12A, 12B and having an intake port extending from a combustion chamber to an inside of each bank which is obliquely upward with respect to an axis of each of the cylinders 14A, 14B for each of cylinders 14A, 14B; and a plurality of direct injectors 81 each disposed at a position outward, in a cylinder radial direction, of the intake port for each of the cylinders 14A, 14B and directly injecting fuel into the combustion chamber, the plurality of direct injectors 81 being disposed so that each direct injector protrudes radially outward from a body part 81b thereof and connector attachment parts 81d thereof to which electric connectors 83 are attached, respectively differ in height between the banks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
