Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of executing a binding process that fits a user's purpose of use by appropriately switching to a binding process for binding sheets using staples.SOLUTION: An MFP 101 determines whether the number of prints is within an upper limit number for stapleless stapling (S1003) when stapleless stapling is set for print data in performing print processing. When determining that the number of prints is not within the upper limit number, the MFP 101 determines whether to switch the stapleless stapling to a binding process (S1005, S1105, S1205). When determining that the stapleless stapling is switched to the binding process, the MFP 101 exerts a control to perform the binding process using staple stapling (S1007); when determining that the stapleless stapling is not switched to the binding process, the MFP 101 exerts a control not to perform the binding process (S1008).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
