Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a flange which has no crack in its tip surface even when using aluminum as a material to be processed to form the flange by crushing utilizing a hot blow molding metal mold as it is.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a blow molding metal mold which has a sub-cavity SC for flange formation at a part of a cavity formed at a metal mold position in blow molding, and forms a flange as the sub-cavity SC crushes an aluminum pipe blow-molded in the sub-cavity SC when the blow molding metal mold 13 is further closed from the metal mold position in the blow molding, a plastic flow being generated at least at a formed flange tip part by setting the capacity of the sub-cavity SC in mold closing to smaller than volume of aluminum blow-molded in the sub-cavity SC and crushed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
