Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight phase detector capable of detecting a phase uniquely.SOLUTION: The phase detector comprises first and second phase comparators, a delay circuit, and a determination section. The first phase comparator compares a comparison signal and a reference signal, and outputs a first voltage corresponding to a phase difference therebetween. The delay circuit delays a phase of the reference signal by a predetermined phase delay amount. The second phase comparator compares the comparison signal and the reference signal delayed by the phase delay amount, and outputs a second voltage corresponding to a phase difference therebetween. The determination section: obtains a detected phase difference from each of the first voltage and the second voltage; corrects the detected phase difference, obtained from the second voltage, with the phase delay amount; compares the corrected detected phase difference and the detected phase difference obtained from the first voltage; and determines, when they match each other, a phase corresponding to them as a correct phase of the comparison signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
