PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a compressor and a refrigeration cycle device using the compressor compact when an R32 refrigerant or a mixed refrigerant including 70 wt.% of the R32 refrigerant is used and a length dimension of a suction pipe is made large so as to make good use of suction overfeed effects.SOLUTION: There is provided a compressor 4 which comprises a compressor body 2 housing a compressing mechanism part 11 and an electric motor part 10, an accumulator 3 supported on the compressor body 2 and having an introduction port 3a for gas refrigerant at an upper part, and a suction pipe 8 penetrating a bottom part of the accumulator 3 and having one end opened to an upper part in the accumulator 3 and the other end linked to a suction port 23 of the compressing mechanism part 11, and compresses an R32 refrigerant or a mixed refrigerant including 70 wt.% or larger of the R32 refrigerant, a length dimension of the suction pipe 8 being set to be larger than a height dimension of the compressor 4 from a bottom part of the compressor body 2 to the introduction port 3a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
