Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can reduce waiting time of a user while preventing a stapler from interfering with a sheet bundle placed on an opening part.SOLUTION: The image forming system comprises an image forming device 100 that forms images on sheets and a sheet processing device 500 which performs binding processing of a sheet bundle having the sheets with images formed overlapped in plural numbers. The sheet processing device performs binding processing of the sheet bundle using a stapler 650. The stapler 650 binds a sheet bundle placed on an opening part 910 at a home position, and binds at an online staple position a sheet bundle placed on an intermediate tray 630. After the stapler 650 starts moving between the home position and the online staple position, if the sheet bundle is placed on the opening part 910, the stapler 650 stops moving until the sheet bundle is taken away.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
