PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strike a balance between prevention of wear of a coating layer due to initial running-in and improvement in anti-seizure property.SOLUTION: A swash plate 3 that is a slide member includes a substrate 31; and the coating layer 32 formed on the substrate 31 and having a thickness of 10 μm or more. The coating layer 321 includes: a binder resin 321; and a solid lubricant 322 dispersed in the binder resin 321 and having c-axis orientation.
