Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for washing skin or hair which comprises sterol esters of a hardly water-soluble oil solution and has excellent transparency, stability, foamability, rinsability, usability and emollient properties.SOLUTION: There is provided a cleansing composition which comprises (A) a sterol ester represented by the formula (1), (B) one or more anionic surfactant selected from (B1) an N-acylamino acid having an acyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms or a salt thereof and (B2) a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate or a salt thereof, (C) a betaine type amphoteric surfactant, (D) a glycerol monofatty acid having 8 to 14 carbon atoms, (D) a hydroxyalcohol having 5 to 6 carbon atms and (D) water and has a pH pf 4.0 to 8.0, where (A) preferably is an N-acylaminoacid sterol ester or a fatty acid sterol ester, (D) preferably is a caprylic acid monoglyceryl and (E) preferably is 2-hydroxy-1-pentanol.SELECTED DRAWING: None
