Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck, a cloth feeder, and a cloth spreading apparatus which can inhibit damage to cloth.SOLUTION: A chuck 3 comprises a body member 31 and a claw member 32 axially supported by the body member 31. The body member 31 has a receiving part 34 for receiving cloth Y. The claw member 32 has a contact part 37 which is brought into contact with the cloth Y. The claw member 32 can be rotated in a gripping direction R1 in which the contact part 37 approaches the receiving part 34, and can be rotated in an opening direction R2 in which the contact part 37 is separated from the receiving part 34. The claw member 32 is axially supported by the body member 31 while having a prescribed amount of play in a vertical direction to a rotation axis. Even when the claw member 32 is rotated in the gripping direction R1, and gripping force is increased, the gripping force is not increased to a level larger than prescribed strength. As a result, excessive force is not applied to the cloth Y, so that damage can be inhibited.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
