Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for the movement rehabilitation of upper and lower limbs.SOLUTION: The apparatus is compact, portable, lightweight, and easy to transport. The apparatus has an adapter for the distal end of a patient's limb, a robotic arm, a gear system, two motors, a piece of virtual and/or augmented reality software, and a management and control system, thereby making possible the execution of movements and exercises in the three-dimensional space. Consequently, patients with neuropathic, musculoskeletal, muscular, rheumatic, locomotorium-based and/or cognitive diseases or injuries and patients in post-surgical recovery may exercise and recover the movements of their upper and/or lower limbs.
