Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw used in an extruder and an extruder having such a screw, and particularly a screw used in a multi-screw extruder, and a multi-screw extruder.SOLUTION: In a state of the art, a screw is often supported on a mandrel (2), and is composed of a segment (3) axially supported with respect to each other. There is a positive-engaging connection between the mandrel and the segment so that a torque can be transmitted to the segment during use of the screw in an extruder cylinder. Instead, the present invention proposes to use an additional connecting element directly from one segment to the next segment in order to release the mandrel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
