PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce an engine sound which is generated at idling power generation.SOLUTION: An engine control device for controlling idling power generation for generating power by rotating an engine at a second rotation number higher than a first rotation number in an idling state when a vehicle is in the idling state comprises: an information acquisition part 180 for acquiring the information of a position of the vehicle; and an engine control part 120 for determining whether or not to perform idling power generation according to the position of the vehicle, or to set the rotation number of the engine to a rotation number which is lower than the second rotation number, and controlling the rotation number of the engine on the basis of a result of the determination.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
