Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable presence or absence of an H. pylori infection on the basis of an LCI image to be performed objectively.SOLUTION: After noise is removed from LCI images, the LCI images are classified into high hue images and low hue images, and a feature amount on color information of the LCI images is extracted for each set of the high hue images and the low hue images. Then, by SVM, which is one of pattern recognition algorithms using a method of learning with a teacher, the LCI images are separated into images indicating an H. pylori infection and images indicating a non-injection of an H. pylori for each set on the basis of the feature amount, and on the basis of the result of the separation, the presence or absence of an H. pylori infection is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
