Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress height dimension from a base to a top face of a second arm and suppress the whole height including a cable.SOLUTION: A horizontal articulated robot 1 comprises: a base 2; a first arm 3 fitted above an upper side of the base 2 in which one end thereof is rotatable around a first vertical axis line A; a first drive unit 4 which rotates the first arm 3 with respect to the base 2; a second arm 5 which is fitted above an upper side of the other end side of the first arm 3 and rotatable around a second vertical axis line B; and a second drive unit 6 which rotates the second arm 5 with respect to the first arm 3. The first drive unit 4 includes: a first motor 8 serially arranged along the first axis line A; and a first reduction gear 9 arranged thereabove which decelerates rotation of the first motor 8. The second drive unit 6 includes: a second motor 12 serially arranged along the second axis line B; and a second reduction gear 13 arranged therebelow which decelerates rotation of the second motor 12. An under surface of the second reduction gear 13 is lower than an upper surface of the first reduction gear 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
