PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which can make both improvement in steering stability performance on a dry road surface and improvement in steering stability performance on a wet road surface compatible by devising a shape of chamfering of a sipe.SOLUTION: Sipes 11 have an edge 11A at a step-in side and an edge 11B at a kick-out side. Chamfering parts 12 shorter than a sipe length L of the sipes 11 are formed in the edge 11A at the step-in side and the edge 11B at the kick-out side respectively. There are non-chamfering areas 13 where the other chamfering parts do not exist, in sites opposing to chamfering parts 12 respectively in the sipes 11.
