PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakage of a metal product to be stacked.SOLUTION: A support member (1) for supporting a metal product comprises a core material (12) having a flat loading surface (21a) on which metal product is loaded and side surfaces (21c, 21d) forming a predetermined angle with respect to the loading surface (21a), and a cushioning material (13)which is provided on at least a pair of edges (22a, 22b) formed by the loading surface (21a) and the side surfaces (21c, 21d) of the core material (12) and opposed to each other, and has free ends (33a, 33b) extending from the edges (22a, 22b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
