Title:
WASTE HEAT RECOVERY DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018131968
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat recovery device for effectively recovering waste heat without marring the active state of a catalyst placed in an exhaust passage.SOLUTION: A vaporizer 28 and a superheater 16 are arranged in the exhaust passage downstream of catalysts 22, 24 and upstream thereof, respectively. The vaporizer 28 vaporizes working fluid injected from an injection valve 30. The superheater 16 superheats and vaporizes incoming vapor. A control valve 38 is provided for actualizing a first state of linking the vaporizer 28 to the superheater 16 and a second state of linking the vaporizer 28 to an expander 48. In a temperature environment where the activity of the catalysts 22, 24 is not marred, the control valve 38 is set in the first state, and in an environment where the activity is marred, the control valve 38 is set in the second state. When the first state is selected, the adequate amount of working fluid for generating the vapor in a non-superheated state is injected from the injection valve 30. When the second state is selected, the adequate amount of working fluid for generating superheated vapor is injected from the injection valve 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
