Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-off valve capable of smoothly performing an opening/closing operation of a valve element by suppressing nonuniform thermal deformation of a valve box, and a steam turbine.SOLUTION: An on-off valve comprises: a valve box 44 including an inlet channel 51 of steam S and an outlet channel 52 which is communicated to the inlet channel 51 through a communication hole 53; a stop valve body 46 which opens/closes the communication hole 53; and a stop valve support part 47 which is partially disposed inside of the outlet channel 52 while penetrating the valve box 44 and supported by the valve box 44 at the side of the outlet channel 52 that is located at a downstream side of the communication hole 53, and supports the stop valve body 46 in an operable manner in an opening direction D of the communication hole 53. The outlet channel 52 extends in a direction across the opening direction D towards a downstream side in a flowing direction of the steam S. Minimum thickness t2 of the valve box 44 at the downstream side of the communication hole 53 and at an opposite side of an extension side of the outlet channel 52 holding a sheath 61 of the stop valve support part 47 therebetween is smaller than minimum thickness t1 of the valve box 44 at the side of the inlet channel 51 that becomes an upstream side of the communication hole 53.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
