Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent coating from vanishing and inhibit rust generation in a vehicle body structure which has reinforcement members added to a cross member.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure 100 includes: a cross member 2 interposed between two side frames 1a and 1b; and gussets 3a and 3b reinforcing the cross member 2. The cross member 2 includes a first contact surface that comes into contact with the gussets 3a and 3b. The gussets 3a and 3b have second contact surfaces that come into contact with the cross member 2. With the coated first contact surface abutted on the coated second contact surfaces, the cross member 2 is welded to the gussets 3a and 3b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
