Title:
PARTIAL RING PET APPARATUS AND PET APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018136152
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an artifact of a PET image by suppressing deterioration of image quality due to absence of a coincidence counting radiation detector in a partial ring PET apparatus by providing a single gamma ray radiation detector to reduce a loss of a projection angle.SOLUTION: The partial ring PET apparatus has a missing portion (16) in a coincidence counting radiation detector (14) to be arranged in a ring shape surrounding a visual field area (10) for detecting a coincidence line (12) of annihilation radiation. Deterioration of image quality due to the absence of the coincidence counting radiation detector (14) is compensated by providing a single gamma ray radiation detector (collimator-type detector 32, Compton camera 40) for detecting at least one (30) of the annihilation radiation as a single gamma ray.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
