Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to start printing for a beginning printing medium by peeling issuance in a printer having peeling issuance function.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a peeling member which peels a printing medium from a mount and guides the medium in a first direction on a downstream side of a transportation roller, and guides the mount in a second direction which is different from the first direction; a driven roller which is rotated by rotation of the transportation roller, and transports the mount guided in the second direction while sandwiching the mount between itself and the transportation roller; a detector which is provided on the downstream side of the transportation roller, and detects existence or absence of the printing medium guided in the first direction; and a controller which so controls as to continuously transport a continuum in a forward direction until the detector detects the printing medium on the most downstream side irrespective of a length of the printing medium in a transportation direction in the state that the mount guided in the second direction is sandwiched between the transportation roller and the driven roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
