Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of detecting a type of a tape cartridge when the tape cartridge having a different length of a hook among a plurality of types of tape cartridges is attached thereto.SOLUTION: A tape printer comprises: a cartridge attachment part 5 to which a tape cartridge 100 comprising a first case 110 having a first hook 114 having a different length among a plurality of types of tape cartridges 100 and a second case 120 having a first hook reception part 124 with which the first hook 114 engages is attached; and a first hook detection sensor 81 of which output varies according to the length of the first hook 114 in a state where the tape cartridge 100 is attached to the cartridge attachment part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
