Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular starting device that is compact by materializing suppression of an increase in the size of a body in the direction of entire length and that is efficient.SOLUTION: A vehicular starting device 20 is provided that comprises: a hydraulic transmission mechanism 21 which transmits power via a fluid: a lockup clutch 24 which selectively transmits power; and an oil pump 25 which generates hydraulic oil pressure for the lockup clutch 24, and that, by means of power transmission via the fluid or power transmission via the lockup clutch 24, generates drive force by transmitting torque output from a drive force source 10 to a drive wheel 70. The lockup clutch 24 is disposed in the same rotation center axis CL as that of the hydraulic transmission mechanism 21 and in an external part of the case 21c of the hydraulic transmission mechanism 21. The oil pump 25 is disposed radially outside the lockup clutch 24, and the oil pump 25 is driven by torque transmitted from at least one of rotation elements of the lockup clutch 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
