Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing noise generated in a detection unit.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes an image forming section 5, a conveying section 4, a sheet feeding section 3, and a control section 8. The sheet feeding section 3 has a sheet feeding cassette 31 for supplying a sheet S to the conveying section 4. The control section 8 controls the image forming section 5, the conveying section 4, and the paper feeding section 3. The sheet feeding cassette 31 has a cassette body 311 capable of accommodating a plurality of sheets S, an inclined surface section 312 inclined with respect to the bottom surface of the cassette body 311, and a sheet detection section 314 that detects the sheet S placed on the inclined surface section 312. The sheet detection section 314 has a sensor piece 32a that comes in contact with the sheet S, a rotating shaft 32b that tiltably supports the sensor piece 32a, and a light sensor 32c that is shielded by the sensor piece 32a. The light sensor 32c outputs to the control section 8 a sheet detection signal indicating that the paper S is accommodated in the cassette main body 311.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
