Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission which can suppress the stagnation of the progress of a gear change while suppressing a shock when the gear change passes through an intermediate gear change stage even if actual input shaft acceleration is varied with respect to target input shaft acceleration when performing a power-on downshift for making the gear change transit to a target gear change stage from a current gear change stage via the intermediate gear change stage.SOLUTION: When a power-on downshift for making a gear change transit to a target gear change stage from a current gear change stage via an intermediate gear change stage is performed, an ECU calculates a synchronization prediction time up to the arrival of an input shaft rotational speed at a synchronization rotational speed of the intermediate gear change stage, and when a synchronization prediction time reaches a prescribed value Th2 or shorter, increases a torque capacity of a release-side friction engagement element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
