Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode which enables the enhancement in performance of a power storage element using an electrolyte solution.SOLUTION: An electrode 10, 20 is arranged for a negative electrode 10 or positive electrode 20 of a power storage element 40. The electrode comprises an electrode current collector 11, 21, and a plurality of electrode material layers 12, 22 laminated on one side of the electrode current collector and capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions. When the electrode is for the negative electrode, each electrode material layer includes a first material and a second material less prone to cause the lithium ions to deposit on the surface of the negative electrode than the first material; the electrode material layer disposed farther from the electrode current collector becomes larger in the ratio of a weight of the second material to a total weight of the first and second materials. When the electrode is for the positive electrode, each electrode material layer includes a third material and a fourth material higher than the third material in lithium ion diffusibility; the electrode material layer disposed farther from the electrode current collector becomes smaller in the ratio of a weight of the fourth material to a total weight of the third and fourth materials.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
