Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method for an exhaust valve rod, capable of maintaining high-temperature strength of a seat surface, securing sufficient heat resistance and corrosion resistance, and reducing damage for repair work.SOLUTION: An exhaust valve rod has a substantially columnar shaft part with heat-resistant steel as a base material, and a substantially disc-shaped valve body part 3 provided continuously to a tip part of the shaft part. A repair method for the exhaust valve rod is characterized in that at a repair portion of a valve seat region 6 on a seat surface 3a of the valve body part 3, a padding material is padded with laser welding to form a first padding layer 4, and a second padding layer 5 obtained by padding the padding material with arc welding is formed so as to overlap with the first padding layer 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
