Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to check whether or not a lubrication oil in a crank case is reduced during operation of a stirling engine.SOLUTION: A stirling engine 1 includes: a crank case 9; a detection path 51; and a detection device 52. The crank case 9 houses a power conversion member 30 which converts reciprocating-motion of a piston 3 into rotational motion of a crank shaft 8. The crank case 9 houses a lubrication oil for lubricating the power conversion member 30 therein and is filled with a working fluid for reciprocating the piston 3. The detection path 51 causes the lubrication oil from the crank case 9 to pass through its internal passage and then returns the lubrication oil to the crank case 9. The detection device 52 is provided at the detection path 51 and detects a degree or existence or non-existence of flow of the lubrication oil in the detection path 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
