Title:
PORTABLE TERMINAL POSITION DETECTOR AND METHOD OF DETECTING PORTABLE TERMINAL POSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018151336
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the position of a portable terminal in a vehicle room with high accuracy without increasing the number of antennas.SOLUTION: Receiving antennas are arranged at two or more places in a vehicle room and an auxiliary antenna is arranged at a position in advance that is the blind spot for the receiving antennas. When a radio wave from a portable terminal is received by the auxiliary antenna, the position where the auxiliary antenna is arranged is determined as where the portable terminal exists. Conversely, when the radio wave from the portable terminal is not received by the auxiliary antenna, the existing position of the portable terminal is detected on the basis of the reception strength of the radio wave received by the plurality of receiving antennas. This way, it is possible to accurately detect the existing position of the portable terminal without increasing the number of receiving antennas 10 mounted in the vehicle room. Furthermore, as the auxiliary antenna only need to determine whether or not a radio wave from the portable terminal is received and does not have to determine reception strength, this antenna can be more easily mounted than for the receiving antennas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
