Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a psylium seed coat as a food fiber raw material to be blended with processed foods, especially a psylium seed coat having similar content of moisture held in intestines even by reducing intake of the psylium seed to conventional psylium seeds, and relatively low viscosity than conventional ones even when hydrated with water.SOLUTION: There is provided a psylium seed coat having enhanced water retentivity and weight of the psylium seed coat after water absorption of 70 times or more as the psylium seed coat before water absorption.SELECTED DRAWING: None
