Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam tracking system with which it is possible to accurately track an object being tracked that exists in the water using a water permeable laser beam from the air.SOLUTION: An irradiated laser beam Lo having water permeability that has reached an optical tag 30 attached to a marine organism (tracking object) 24 present in the water is reflected by a retroreflective layer toward an artificial satellite 12 where the light source of the irradiated laser beam exists, so that a reflected laser beam Lr from the marine organism 24 is received with relatively high receiving gain by the artificial satellite 12. Meanwhile, as the reflected laser beam Lr that has been reflected is modulated by having passed through a liquid crystal layer 46, the reflected laser beam Lr can have information for identifying the marine organism 24 included therein and the identification of whether being an intended aquatic life 24 or not can be facilitated, making it possible to search for and track the marine organism 24 individually.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
