Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that prevents a large increase over time in frictional resistance between a fixing belt and a nip part forming member, and stably forms a good nip part without largely deforming the fixing belt, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A reinforcement member 26 in contact with a pressure roller 31 with a nip part forming member 22 and a fixing belt 21 therebetween is provided inside the fixing belt 21. The nip part forming member 22 is provided with a nip belt 23 (endless belt) that is in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21 at a nip part, and a plurality of roller members 24, 25 that are in contact with an inner peripheral surface of the nip belt 23 to hold the nip belt 23. The nip belt 23 is rotated accompanying the rotation of the fixing belt 21 following the rotation of the pressure roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
