Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating fluorine-containing effluent which can effectively remove fluorine so as to satisfy drainage standards without returning sludge in an acidic solution containing fluorine and having a pH of 5 or less.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for adding calcium salt to fluorine-containing effluent and separating and removing the fluorine as a sparingly soluble precipitate, which is a method of fluorinating produced by adding calcium salt to fluorine-containing effluent. The generated calcium fluoride is agglomerated by using a sulfonic acid type anionic coagulant. Alternatively, calcium fluoride generated by adding a calcium salt to fluorine-containing effluent is agglomerated by using a nonionic coagulant and then agglomerated by using an anionic coagulant.SELECTED DRAWING: None
