Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate extraction of ink from an ink circulation passage, which is not performed in ordinary operation, by using existing functions without executing a special operation by removing a device cover.SOLUTION: An inkjet printer comprises: a printing unit 2 having an inkjet head 11 having a nozzle for discharging ink, a pressurization tank 21 for storing ink to be supplied to the inkjet head 11, a negative pressure tank 22 for receiving ink that was not consumed by the inkjet head 11, and a circulation passage 23 for circulating the ink between the pressurization tank 21, the inkjet head 11 and the negative pressure tank 22; a pressure applying unit 3 for applying positive pressure to the pressurization tank 21 and selectively applying negative pressure and positive pressure to the negative pressure tank 22; and a control unit for discharging the whole ink from the nozzle of the inkjet head 11 by applying the positive pressure to the pressurization tank 21 and the negative pressure tank 22 after applying the positive pressure only to the pressurization tank 21 by controlling the pressure applying unit 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
