Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heavy duty pneumatic tire which improves low rolling resistance, abrasion resistance, tensile breaking elongation and chunking resistance than a conventional level.SOLUTION: A heavy duty pneumatic tire has a cap tread rubber and an under tread rubber, where the cap tread rubber is formed of a rubber composition for cap tread, the rubber composition for cap tread is formed by blending 30-60 pts.mass of carbon black and 1-30 pts.mass of silica with respect to 100 pts.mass of a diene-based rubber formed of 40-100 mass% of a natural rubber and 60-0 mass% of a butadiene rubber, a difference between a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of the carbon black and nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of the silica is 30-100 m/g, and a difference (Hc-Hu) between rubber hardness Hc of the cap tread rubber and rubber hardness Hu of the under tread rubber is 5 or more and 10 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
