Abstract:
To provide a color-developing composition that shows excellent color development, and inhibits the temporal fading of a color development body formed theretiwh; a lithographic printing original plate that offers a lithographic printing plate having excellent plate inspectability, on-press developability, and printing durability; and a plate-making method using the lithographic printing original plate.SOLUTION: A color-developing composition contains (A) an infrared absorption dye, and (B) a color-developing compound having a color development precursor site having an electronic acceptor group that can accept an electron from the excited infrared absorption dye and a releasable site. There are also provided a lithographic printing original plate having an image recording layer containing the color-developing composition, and a plate-making method using the lithographic printing original plate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
