Abstract:
To provide a detected body arranging structure capable of avoiding enlargement of an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 23 comprises: a crank shaft 37 having a journal 37b coupled to a bearing 39, and rotatably supported by a crankcase 24; a power transmission gear 55 fixed to a tip of the crank shaft 37 projecting outside the crankcase 24 with a diameter smaller than that of the journal 37b; a detected body 82 fixed to an outer periphery of a collar member 56 arranged between the bearing 39 and the power transmission gear 55, and supported by the crank shaft 37 relatively non-rotatably; and a detection sensor 83 faced to a trajectory of the detected body 82, detecting movement of the detected body 82, and generating pulse signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
