Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mirror device capable of suppressing the deterioration of a back light of a liquid crystal display, and ensuring the visibility of a peripheral view field of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An electronic mirror device includes: a display portion which has a liquid crystal panel and a back light, and displays a camera image of a peripheral view field of a vehicle which is picked ou by an on-vehicle camera; an optical mirror which is disposed on the liquid crystal panel side, and projects a reflection image of the peripheral view field; a mode switching portion which switches a mirror mode in which the peripheral view field is visually recognized by the reflection image of the optical mirror, and a display mode in which the peripheral view field is visually recognized by the camera image of the display portion; and a brightness adjusting portion which adjusts the brightness of the back light between a first brightness threshold value for securing the visibility and a second brightness threshold value for suppressing the deterioration of the back light. The mode switching portion switches from the display mode to the mirror mode when the first brightness threshold value exceeds the second brightness threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
