PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a detection signal that reflects light passing through further more specific parts in a tissue under the nail.SOLUTION: A detection device includes: a light emission part for emitting light to a surface of a nail; and a light receiving part for generating a detection signal in accordance with a light receiving level of light that has been emitted from the light emission part and passed through a tissue under the nail.
